Monday Morning Commute
7AM - Driver calls from downstairs
7:40AM - Car arrives at ORD ($50)
7:42AM - Call travel agent to purchase ticket after realizing don’t have one ($600)
7:45AM - Enter 1K/TD security line as amateur travelers are turned away
7:47AM push two amateur travelers out of the way on the people-mover (no status losers)
7:50AM - Overpriced coffee and muffin at airport Starbucks ($7)
8:00 - Flash TD/1K status for free upgrade.
8:20AM - Board and place rollerboard (sideways) and computer bag in overhead.
8:22AM - Put on noise-canceling headphones and ipod (the flight attendants don’t ask questions of TD/1Ks)
8:25AM - Consume screwdrivers to fend off any hangover from last night’s drinking.
10AM - greeted by name at the Hertz counter, with complementary upgrade to Prestige Collection ($40/day)
10:15AM - Greeted by name by the Valet and Guest Services at the Marriott, with complementary upgrade to suite on the club level ($100/day)
10:45AM - arrive at the office.
Monday Workday
10:45AM - Shoot the shit with client manager
11AM - Check Company e-mail - there might be a better client/role out there
11:15AM - Check client e-mail.
11:20AM - Delegate any to-do’s, that have come in since e-mail last checked at noon on Friday, to client or analysts
11:30AM - Well deserved 1.5hr lunch ($20)
1PM - repeat e-mail cycle until meetings start
1:30PM - Meetings start. Bring laptop so to keep up on e-mail/IM/web-surfing
4:00PM - clients leave
4:10PM - make the rounds - shoot the shit with managers
4:30 - Check in with analysts to ensure work is getting done.
6:00 - Happy hour and dinner with managers
